AI DJ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
App: AI DJ for Android (package com.fusiontechai.aidj). AI DJ is in beta (testing).
Made by: Fusion Tech AI LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("we", "us", "our")
Contact: ricky@fusiontechai.com
This page has two parts:
- Part 1, Terms of Use: the rules for using AI DJ.
- Part 2, Privacy Policy: what AI DJ collects, why, who gets it, how long it is kept, and how you delete it.
When you tap Agree and start (or Agree and open) on AI DJ's first screen, or when you use AI DJ, you agree to both parts. You also agree to YouTube's Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy covers what happens inside YouTube's player.
The short version
- Songs come from YouTube and play in YouTube's own player. The music is always free.
- Your DJ is an AI. It can be wrong, and its roasts are jokes.
- No account, no sign-in, no ads. We don't sell your data.
- What you say to the DJ goes to our server and to AI services so the DJ can answer. Our server's log deletes itself after 30 days.
- Your lists, DJ memory and settings are saved on your phone. Your DJ memory and some of your song lists also go along with your questions to the AI (Part 2 says exactly what).
- To erase it all: Settings > Legal & privacy > Delete my data.
Part 1: Terms of Use
1. What AI DJ is
AI DJ is a music app with an AI DJ that talks. You ask for songs out loud or by typing. The DJ picks them, plays them and talks about them. The songs come from YouTube.
2. It's a beta
AI DJ is still being tested. That means:
- Features can change, break or go away without notice.
- The DJ's server (we call it the "gateway") runs on a computer we operate, and it is moving to a hosted server. While the server is offline, the DJ can't talk, search or answer.
- Please tell us what breaks: ricky@fusiontechai.com.
3. YouTube's terms apply too
AI DJ uses YouTube API Services. By using AI DJ, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. What happens inside YouTube's player is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- AI DJ is not made, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
- Songs and videos belong to their owners. AI DJ shows them the way YouTube provides them.
- YouTube can change or end what it offers at any time. If it does, parts of AI DJ may stop working.
4. The music is always free
- Every song in AI DJ comes from YouTube and is always free. Search, play, pause, skip, folders, stations and songs a friend sends all work with or without DJ Lines.
- We never charge for music. Nothing you buy unlocks, improves or removes anything about the music or YouTube's player, including YouTube's ads.
- Songs play only while AI DJ is open on your screen. If you leave the app, the song pauses.
5. DJ Lines (if and when we offer them)
DJ Lines are not on sale yet. If and when we offer them, these rules apply:
- One DJ Line = one spoken line from your DJ: an intro, a joke, a roast, a story or an answer. DJ Lines pay for the DJ's talk only. They don't buy songs, music, videos, ad removal, background play, downloads, offline listening or access to YouTube.
- New installs may get 20 free starter lines. We never give lines for watching, listening, liking or sharing.
- Packs are bought through Google Play, at the price Google Play shows. Google Play handles the payment and the receipt.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
- Purchases are tied to the Google account you used to buy them, and you can restore them through Google Play. Lines you have already used are used up.
- DJ Lines have no cash value and can't be sold or traded.
- When you run out, the music keeps playing. Only the DJ goes quiet.
6. Personal use only
AI DJ is for your own personal, non-commercial use. Don't use it to play music for a business, store, bar, gym, event or broadcast. YouTube's terms don't allow that, and neither do we.
7. Your DJ is an AI
- The DJ's lines, song picks, answers and the short notes on "near me" tiles are written by artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, out of date or not to your taste. Weather and place details come from outside services, and they can be wrong too.
- A roast is a joke, not a fact about anyone.
- Don't rely on the DJ for anything important: health, safety, money, legal matters, or directions you haven't checked.
- The DJ can open apps, websites and maps for you, but you press the final button. It never orders, pays, books, calls or sends anything for you.
Personalities and safety. You can pick a built-in personality or make your own. When the DJ answers you, says a quick line or names a folder, our safety rules go along with every personality, including the ones you make: no slurs or hate, nothing sexual, no harassing real people, nothing that encourages self-harm or danger, never pretending to be a real person, and roasts aim at music taste only. AI can still slip up.
Report a bad line. If the DJ says something offensive, hateful, sexual, dangerous or wrong, tap the flag next to the DJ's words (or press and hold the words), or go to Settings > Legal & privacy > Report a DJ line. We read every report.
8. Share links
- When you share a song or a folder, AI DJ makes a public link. Anyone who has the link can open it and see the songs, the folder name and the picture card. Only send it to people you mean to.
- The link points to songs on YouTube. It doesn't hold copies of the music. Your friend's phone plays the songs in YouTube's player.
- Your name is not put on the link or the picture card. (The Copy text button in the share box is different: it copies a longer message that includes the name in your DJ profile, if you gave one. That text goes only where you paste it.)
- Chat apps (like Messenger or WhatsApp) make their own copy of a link's preview. We can't remove a copy that a chat app already made.
- To take a link down, email us the link. We may also remove links that break these terms, YouTube's rules or the law, or that someone reports to us.
- Part 2, section 7 says exactly what a share sends.
9. Your part
You need to be at least 13 years old to use AI DJ.
You agree not to:
- copy, download, record or pass around music or video through AI DJ, or try to get around YouTube's player;
- try to make the DJ produce hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content, or make a personality meant to get around the safety rules or to copy a real person;
- use AI DJ or share links to harass anyone, to spam, or to share anything you don't have the right to share;
- take apart (reverse-engineer), scrape, overload or break AI DJ, our server or our share links;
- use AI DJ against the law, or against YouTube's or Google Play's rules.
The DJ remembers things you tell it, like your name or city, so it can talk to you better. That memory lives on your phone and goes along with your questions to the AI services (see Part 2). Don't tell the DJ passwords, card numbers or other secrets. You can see, fix or erase the DJ's memory in Settings > DJ Memory, and erase everything with Delete my data.
10. Changes and ending
- We may update AI DJ and these terms. If a change matters, AI DJ will ask you to agree again before you keep using it.
- You can stop using AI DJ at any time by uninstalling it. If you want our server's records gone right away, use Delete my data first.
- We may suspend or end your use of AI DJ if you break these terms, and we may stop offering AI DJ. If we stop it while you have unused paid DJ Lines, refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and the law.
11. No warranty
AI DJ is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always work, be free of errors, or that any song will be available.
In plain words: it's a beta, and things can go wrong.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Fusion Tech AI LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost data, arising from AI DJ. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for DJ Lines in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
In plain words: if something goes wrong, the most we owe you is what you paid us for DJ Lines in the last year.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA. If the law where you live gives you consumer protections that an agreement can't take away, you keep them.

Part 2: Privacy Policy
Who we are: Fusion Tech AI LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, makes AI DJ. Contact for privacy questions and requests: ricky@fusiontechai.com
This part says what AI DJ collects, why, who gets it, how long it is kept, and how you delete it.
1. YouTube API Services
AI DJ uses YouTube API Services to find songs, to read song info (title, channel, picture, and whether a video is "made for kids" or can be played inside other apps), to read YouTube playlists you import, and to play videos in YouTube's own player.
- Read the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Song searches and song checks go to YouTube from our server, using our key. YouTube gets the search words and the video ids, not your name.
- YouTube's player inside AI DJ, and the song pictures AI DJ shows, load straight from YouTube onto your phone. YouTube and Google may place or read cookies and similar data on your phone through the player, under Google's Privacy Policy.
- AI DJ never signs in to your Google or YouTube account, and never posts, likes or changes anything on YouTube. So AI DJ has no access to your Google account to revoke. You can always check which apps can reach your Google account at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
- 30-day rule: song info from YouTube (titles, channels, pictures) is refreshed from YouTube or deleted after 30 days:
- On your phone: each time you open AI DJ, it re-checks saved songs whose info is 28 days old or more. If it can't (for example, our server is offline), a song that reaches 30 days keeps only its video id, and its title, channel and picture are blanked until a later check brings them back. This check runs when you open AI DJ, so if you don't open it for a while, it happens the next time you do.
- On our server: the YouTube search cache and the server log drop anything older than 30 days. The server checks when it starts and every 6 hours while it runs.
- On our share host: a share's picture card and titles expire after 30 days (section 7).
- Delete your data at any time: Settings > Legal & privacy > Delete my data (section 10).
2. What stays on your phone
AI DJ keeps these in its private storage on your phone:
- your history, favorites, saves, "never play" list, folders, stations and the current line-up;
- DJ memory: your "About me" text, the notes the DJ writes about you (like your city or a favorite band), your name, your home city and the city you're in now (if you give them), and the conversation log (when you open AI DJ, lines older than 30 days are removed);
- short notes the DJ makes about what you liked or didn't like in a song (removed after 30 days, when you open AI DJ);
- your settings (DJ name, voice, personality, personalities you made, roast level and so on);
- DJ lines you reported (the last 50);
- two random IDs made on your phone: an install ID for our server and a share install ID for our share host. Neither one is tied to your name, your Google account, your phone number or your phone's hardware;
- the pairing key and network address AI DJ uses to reach our server;
- for share links: the codes that let a link you made be taken down, and which folder each folder link you opened became;
- your last known location and city, if you allowed location (see section 5);
- the date you agreed to these terms;
- voice files: the DJ's latest spoken line, and its stock greetings (like "Yeah?") kept so they play fast;
- share picture cards and backup files, deleted about a day after they're made (the next time you open AI DJ);
- the "Hey DJ" speech model (about 40 MB, no personal data).
Delete my data erases all of it except the speech model. Uninstalling AI DJ erases all of it.
3. What goes to our server
Our server (the "gateway") holds the keys to the services AI DJ uses, so the app never does. It receives:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| What you say or type to the DJ (as text, see section 4) | so the DJ can answer and do what you ask |
| The song playing now (title, channel, video id), up to 15 favorite titles, up to 30 "never play" titles, your last 12 songs, your folder names and your current station | so the DJ can pick songs you'll like |
| Your DJ memory and the last few lines of your conversation (up to 12) | so the DJ knows you (see "What our server keeps" below) |
| Your DJ settings (DJ name, personality, roast level, the names of personalities you made, and the description of the one you're using) | so the DJ talks the way you picked |
| Up to 25 songs from a folder (titles and channels), when you ask the DJ to name it | so the DJ can make up a name |
| A "near me" place's details (name, address, phone, website, hours, distance), when you ask the DJ about it | so the DJ can answer about that place |
| Song searches, the ids of YouTube playlists you import, and video ids | to find songs on YouTube and check them (made for kids, still there, can be played in AI DJ) |
| The DJ's lines and the voice you picked | to turn them into the DJ's voice |
| Your location (latitude and longitude) and city when you use "near me"; a city name when you ask about the weather (section 5) | to find places and weather |
| A few seconds of microphone sound, only when you use Music Detective (section 4) | to name the song |
| Lines you report: the line, when it was said, and the DJ's personality, voice and roast level | so we can review them |
| Short app notes (for example a player error, how long a step took, or the words the phone heard you say) | to fix bugs |
| Your install ID, on every request | so Delete my data can find your records |
What our server keeps:
- A log of requests: what you said, the DJ's answers, songs and searches, "near me" locations (to about 100 meters), and app notes. Each line is tagged with your install ID. Lines are deleted after 30 days (the server checks when it starts and every 6 hours while it runs).
- Reported DJ lines, kept until we review them, at most 12 months.
- Two caches that are not linked to you or your phone: YouTube search results (search words and results), and "near me" results (search words, locations rounded to about 1 km, and the places found). Both are kept up to 30 days.
- Not kept: your full DJ memory and your recent conversation lines are not copied into the log. (The log does keep the DJ's answers, and an answer can include a new note the DJ makes about you, like your city.) The AI's short running conversation lives only in the server's memory, starts over often, and starts over right away when you use Delete my data.
4. Your voice and the microphone
- Tap the mic: your phone's own speech service turns your words into text. On most Android phones that's Google's service, under Google's privacy policy. AI DJ gets the text, not a recording.
- Hands-Free ("Hey DJ" while AI DJ is open): this is on unless you turn it off in Settings. While AI DJ is open, your phone's mic listens for "Hey DJ". The first time, AI DJ downloads a free speech model (about 40 MB) from the Vosk project's website (alphacephei.com). With that model, "Hey DJ" is heard only on your phone, and nothing leaves the phone until you say it. If the model isn't on your phone yet (or can't be downloaded), AI DJ uses your phone's speech service to listen for "Hey DJ" instead (on most phones that's Google's, which may send the sound to Google to turn it into text), but only while AI DJ is open and the music is paused.
- Always listening ("Hey DJ" while AI DJ is closed): this is off unless you turn it on in Settings. While it's on, Android shows a notification with a Stop button. The wake word is heard on your phone. After "Hey DJ", the phone itself writes down what you say next (up to about 8 seconds) and sends only that text. Music won't start while AI DJ is closed. This option may not be in every version while it waits for Google Play's approval.
- Music Detective: when you tap "It's playing" or "Hum it", AI DJ records about 10 seconds (12 seconds for humming) and sends it through our server to ACRCloud. For "It's playing", if ACRCloud doesn't find it, the sound also goes to AudD. Our server doesn't save the recording. The song name that comes back goes in our 30-day log.
5. Location ("near me" and weather)
AI DJ asks for location once (Android's "while using the app" question). You can pick precise or approximate, or say no. If you allow it:
- Your phone works out your city with Android's Geocoder (usually a Google service).
- The city you're in goes along with your DJ memory to the AI services, so the DJ knows where you are.
- For "near me" tiles (like "pizza near me"), your latitude and longitude, the search word and your city go to our server. Our server asks OpenStreetMap map servers (overpass-api.de, overpass.private.coffee, overpass.kumi.systems). If those are busy, it may ask Google Places instead. The places it finds, and how far each one is from you (not your location itself), go to an AI service, which writes a short note for each tile and has the DJ tell you about them.
- For weather, a city name goes to Open-Meteo.
- When you tap Go, Uber, Call or Order on a tile, that place's details go to the app or website you picked.
- Saved location: AI DJ saves the last location and city it got. If you later turn location off for AI DJ, it stops getting new ones, but it keeps using the last saved one for "near me", weather and the DJ's sense of where you are, until you use Delete my data.
If AI DJ has no location from your phone: for weather, the DJ uses a city you told it, or asks what city you're in. For "near me", our server looks up a city you told the DJ on Open-Meteo to find it on the map. If the DJ doesn't know any city, AI DJ opens Google Maps with your search instead.
6. AI service providers and other services we use
We share data only with the services below, and only to make AI DJ work. Each one handles what it gets under its own terms and privacy policy. Some may keep it for a while or use it to improve their own services. Some of them work outside the United States (for example, DeepSeek is based in China and Mistral AI in France).
AI service providers (they write what the DJ says):
| Service | What it gets | Why |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI (GPT models) | what you say, your DJ memory and settings, recent lines of your conversation, song titles and channels, your favorite, recent and "never play" titles, folder names, the songs in a folder you ask it to name, and a place's details when you ask about it | the DJ's main brain |
| Groq (runs OpenAI's open "gpt-oss" models) | the same as OpenAI when it's the backup. It also goes first for quick turns, and then gets the same as OpenAI: when the DJ tells you about "near me" results, answers questions about a place, or helps you make a new personality. For the quick "On it!" line: your words, the song playing and your DJ settings. For "near me" tile notes: the places found and how far they are. It can also get the weather forecast for your city and your DJ settings, so the DJ can say the weather in its personality | quick lines, place chats, "near me" notes, and the first backup brain |
| Cerebras, Mistral AI, DeepSeek | whatever the service above them would have gotten | backup brains, used only when the ones above fail |
| xAI (Grok) | the same as OpenAI | used only if we switch the main brain to it. It is off by default |
Other services:
| Service | What it gets | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cartesia | the text of each DJ line and the voice you picked | the DJ's voice |
| ACRCloud, AudD | a few seconds of microphone sound (Music Detective only) | naming a song |
| YouTube (Google) | search words, playlist ids and video ids (from our server); YouTube's player and the song pictures load on your phone | finding, checking, showing and playing songs |
| OpenStreetMap map servers, Google Places | latitude, longitude and the search word | places near you |
| Open-Meteo | a city name | weather, and finding a city on the map for "near me" |
| Cloudflare (runs our share host) | what a share sends (section 7) | share links |
| Your phone's speech service and Geocoder (usually Google) | your voice when you tap the mic; your location, to find your city | speech to text, city name |
| Vosk project website (alphacephei.com) | one normal download request | the "Hey DJ" speech model |
Apps and sites the DJ opens: if you ask the DJ to open an app, a website, a search or a map, what you asked for goes to that app or site (for example Google Search, Google Maps or Uber). AI DJ looks at the list of apps on your phone so "open Uber" can find Uber. That list stays on your phone.
We also share information if the law requires it.
7. Share links (what a share sends)
When you share a song or a folder, AI DJ sends these to our share host (garoove.com; test versions of the app use garoove-dev.rickyponline.workers.dev), which runs on Cloudflare:
- the YouTube video ids of the songs (up to 200);
- the song titles and channel names;
- the folder name, when you share a folder;
- a 1200 x 630 picture card, made from the songs' YouTube pictures and names (never your name);
- a random share install ID, made on your phone and not tied to who you are, used to stop abuse (like one phone making too many links);
- the app version.
Like any website, the share host also sees your phone's internet (IP) address when AI DJ connects to it.
Then:
- The host makes a public link. Anyone who has the link can open it.
- The host checks the songs with YouTube (YouTube's oEmbed service) and uses YouTube's own titles.
- The picture card and the titles expire after 30 days. The rest of the share (like the video ids and the folder name) stays until you ask us to remove it or we remove it.
- Your name is not included. The message AI DJ hands to your chat app is just the song or folder name and the link. (The Copy text button is different: it copies a longer message with the name from your DJ profile, if you gave one, plus the song list and YouTube links. That text goes only where you paste it.)
- If the host can't be reached when you share one song, AI DJ makes a basic link with that song's YouTube video id in it instead. Nothing is uploaded to make that kind of link.
- "Share AI DJ" sends a link to AI DJ's page. Nothing is uploaded.
- Back Up My DJ makes a text file of your lists (with the name from your DJ profile, if you gave one). It goes only where you send, copy or save it.
When you open a link in AI DJ: AI DJ sends only the link's id to the share host to get the songs. Then AI DJ asks our server to check the songs with YouTube (made for kids? still there?). That sends the video ids and your install ID to our server. If the check can't run, nothing plays and nothing is saved.
When someone opens a link without AI DJ: they see a web page on our share host. It may show YouTube's player, which is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
Removing a link: email us the link. Delete my data does not remove share links you already sent. It erases your phone's record of which links were yours.
8. Cookies and similar data
- AI DJ keeps its own data in its private storage on your phone (section 2). There are no ad or analytics trackers in the app.
- YouTube's player, inside AI DJ and on our share pages, may place and read cookies and similar data on your device, under Google's Privacy Policy. Delete my data clears the player's cookies and storage inside AI DJ.
9. How long we keep things
| What | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your lists, DJ memory, settings and IDs | your phone | until you change or delete them, use Delete my data, or uninstall |
| Song info from YouTube (titles, channels, pictures) | your phone | re-checked when you open AI DJ once it's 28 days old; blanked at 30 days if it can't be refreshed |
| Conversation log and song like/dislike notes | your phone | entries older than 30 days are removed when you open AI DJ |
| Your last saved location and city | your phone | until a newer one replaces it, you use Delete my data, or you uninstall |
| Share picture cards and backup files | your phone | about a day |
| Server log (what you said, the DJ's answers, songs, searches, "near me" locations, app notes) | our server | 30 days |
| Reported DJ lines | our server | until we review them, at most 12 months |
| YouTube search cache (no install ID) | our server | up to 30 days |
| "Near me" cache (no install ID; locations rounded to about 1 km) | our server | up to 30 days |
| DJ memory | not saved by our server | passed to the AI services with each question |
| Music Detective sound | not saved by our server | passed to ACRCloud or AudD |
| Share picture card and titles | our share host | 30 days |
| The rest of a share (like video ids and folder name) | our share host | until you ask us to remove it or we remove it |
| What the services in section 6 receive | their systems | under their own policies |
10. Delete your data
In the app: go to Settings > Legal & privacy > Delete my data. It:
- asks our server to delete every log line and report tagged with your install ID, and to start the AI's conversation fresh;
- erases everything AI DJ keeps on your phone (section 2), including the YouTube player's cookies and storage inside AI DJ. Only the "Hey DJ" speech model stays, because it holds no personal data;
- restarts AI DJ like a fresh install, with new random IDs. You'll see the agreement screen again.
If our server can't be reached, your phone is still erased, and the app shows a short code (your old install ID). Email that code to ricky@fusiontechai.com and we'll delete the rest by hand.
Delete my data can't reach:
- pictures or backup files you saved to your phone's Pictures or Downloads folders, or things you sent to friends;
- share links (email us the link and we'll remove it);
- what the services in section 6 already received (their own policies apply);
- our two caches that aren't linked to you (YouTube search results, and "near me" results);
- server log lines written before October 12, 2026. They have no install ID, so they can't be matched to you. They delete themselves within 30 days.
Other ways: uninstalling AI DJ erases its data on your phone. On our server, log lines delete themselves after 30 days and reported lines after at most 12 months. To remove them sooner, use Delete my data before you uninstall, or email us. You can also email us at any time to ask what we hold, or to have it fixed or deleted.
11. Security
- AI DJ's connections to YouTube, to our share host and to the Vosk website use HTTPS (encrypted). So do our server's connections to the services in section 6.
- The connection between the app and our server does not use HTTPS yet. During this beta, our server runs on a computer we operate. The app reaches it over a USB cable, or over a home or private network with a pairing key. On a home Wi-Fi network that traffic isn't encrypted, so someone else on the same network could read it. When the server moves to its hosted home, that connection will use HTTPS too.
- The keys to the services AI DJ uses stay on our server, never in the app.
- No system is perfectly secure. Please don't tell the DJ secrets.
12. Purchases
DJ Lines are not on sale yet. If and when they are, you buy them through Google Play. Google handles the payment, and we never see your card number. Purchases are tied to the Google account you used, can be restored through Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
13. What we don't do
- No ads, and no ad or analytics trackers in the app.
- We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- No account and no sign-in. We don't collect your email unless you write to us.
- AI DJ doesn't look through your contacts, photos, messages or files. It reads a file or a message only when you share it into AI DJ yourself.
- When you tap Import Playlist, AI DJ checks your clipboard. If you copied a YouTube playlist link or an AI DJ share, it opens it right away (a playlist link goes to our server so its songs can be looked up). Anything else on your clipboard is ignored.
14. Children
AI DJ is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
AI DJ checks YouTube's "made for kids" label before it plays songs from searches, shared links and imports, and leaves those videos out. If the check can't run, the song doesn't play.
If you think a child under 13 has used AI DJ, email us at ricky@fusiontechai.com and we'll delete what we hold.
15. Your choices
- See, fix or erase the DJ's memory: Settings > DJ Memory.
- Turn Hands-Free or Always listening off in Settings.
- Turn off the microphone or location for AI DJ in your phone's Android settings. (AI DJ keeps the last location it saved until you use Delete my data.)
- Report a DJ line, read these documents, or delete your data: Settings > Legal & privacy.
- Ask us anything about your data: ricky@fusiontechai.com.
16. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change matters, AI DJ will ask you to agree again before you keep using it.
