Fusion Files Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
App: Fusion Files on Google Play (store name "File Manager by Fusion Tech", package com.fusiontechai.fusionfiles)
Company: Fusion Tech AI LLC, 109 E Chestnut St, Salisbury, MD 21801, USA · ricky@fusiontechai.com
The short version
Fusion Files has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your photos, videos, music, documents and contacts stay on your phone unless you choose to back them up or share them. When you back up, the copies go only to the USB drive or Google Drive folder you pick. We run no servers that receive data from the app, and we never receive your files. Payments go through Google Play.
What the app reads on your phone, and why
Everything in this table is used on your phone only. None of it is sent to Fusion Tech AI.
| What | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
| Photos and videos | SPACE DNA (how much space each type uses), browsing and viewing, the duplicate photo finder (it computes a SHA-256 fingerprint of photos on your phone to find exact copies), BIGGEST (your largest photos), and backup | Only after you allow photo and video access in Android's prompt. If you allow only some photos, the app works with just those. |
| Music and audio | SPACE DNA, browsing, playing, and backup | Only after you allow audio access |
| Documents and other files that Android lets the app see | Browsing, sorting, and backup. Fusion Files does not ask for "All files access". | While those screens are open |
| Your contacts | To save a copy of all your contacts as one contacts.vcf file in your backup |
Only if you tick Contacts on the backup screen (it starts unticked) and start a backup. Android asks you first. |
| Storage totals (space used and free) | The storage meter and SPACE DNA | While those screens are open |
| The backup drive or folder you pick | To write your backup, check each copy, skip files that are already backed up, restore onto a phone, and find which phone files are safely backed up before offering to clean them | Only while you use the backup screen |
The voice guide is made of pre-recorded clips. The app does not use your microphone, camera or location.
What the app keeps on your phone
In the app's private storage, which other apps can't read:
- Your settings (sound on or off, which screens' voice intros already played) and your SORTSPARK best score.
- Your subscription status (one on/off flag) and the trial record: when you first opened the app, how many free SORTSPARK plays you've used, and the latest date the phone's clock has shown (so changing the clock can't extend the trial).
- An activity log of the last 200 things the app did, such as "Moved 3 files to Pictures" or "Renamed photo.jpg → beach.jpg". It can include file names and folder names. It's there so you can see what happened and undo your last 5 trash, move or rename actions.
- A temporary picture of your SORTSPARK score when you tap Share.
What leaves your phone
Only these:
- Backups you start. When you tap START BACKUP, the app copies the files you ticked (and your contacts, if you ticked them) into the folder you picked, plus a
SHA256SUMS.txtlist of file names and their fingerprints. If you picked a USB drive, nothing leaves your hands. If you picked a Google Drive folder, the Google Drive app uploads the copies into your own Google account under Google's terms. We never receive or see them. - Google Play purchases. When you subscribe or restore a purchase, Google Play handles the payment under Google's terms. We never see your card or payment details. The app only asks Google Play, on your phone, whether your account has an active subscription.
- Google Play Billing diagnostics. The Google Play Billing library inside the app sends Google technical information about its own operation, such as whether connections to Google Play succeed or fail. Google uses it to run and improve billing. We don't receive or control this data. It's sent encrypted.
- The trial record. So the 3 free days and the 100 free plays don't restart when the app is reinstalled, the app stores the trial record described above (three numbers, nothing else) in Google Play services' Block Store. It's copied to your Google account only when Google reports it can be end-to-end encrypted.
- Your own Google backup. If Google backup is on, Android may back up the app's settings, trial record and activity log to your Google account, as it does for other apps. We can't read it. You control it in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
- Things you choose to share. If you share a file or your SORTSPARK score, you pick the app it goes to. A score share contains a picture of your score and our Google Play link.
Google's privacy policy covers items 1 (for Google Drive) through 5: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your backups are your files
Backups are plain copies. Fusion Files does not encrypt them. Anyone who has your thumb drive, or access to your Google Drive folder, can open them, including contacts.vcf and the SHA256SUMS.txt list of file names. Keep the drive somewhere safe. A backup is yours: you can open, copy, move or delete it any time, with or without Premium.
What we don't do
- No ads and no advertising ID.
- No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services.
- No account, sign-in, email or phone number collection.
- No uploads to any server of ours. We don't have one for this app.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal information. We don't have any to sell.
Your choices
- Every permission is optional and can be turned off later in Android Settings → Apps → Fusion Files → Permissions. Without one, only the feature that needs it stops working.
- Contacts are only read if you tick Contacts on the backup screen.
- Deleting files always asks you to confirm first. On Android 11 and newer, deleted files go to Android's recycle bin first, where Android keeps them for about 30 days.
- You can cancel your subscription any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or with MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION in the app.
Keeping and deleting your data
All app data lives in the app's private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or Android Settings → Apps → Fusion Files → Storage → Clear storage, deletes it. The trial record in Block Store stays with Google Play services on purpose, so a reinstall doesn't restart the free trial. Your backups stay on your drive or in your Google Drive until you delete them. Your Google backup can be managed or deleted in your Google account. We don't hold any data about you, so there's nothing for us to delete. If you have a question, email us.
Children
Fusion Files is made for adults and isn't directed to children under 13. The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, so we don't knowingly collect any from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. If a change affects what leaves your phone, we'll also say so in the app's update notes, and before any new kind of data is sent, the app will tell you and ask.
